No Greater Love

I’m not ashamed of the Gospel,
will always be there for Him.
It only grieves me,
when you don’t believe me,
For I know of the Joy,
He can bring.

Don’t mind at all if it irks you,
to see the smile on my face.
Regardless of all,
and the times that I fall.
I know,I’ll make it ,
by Grace.

A long way from perfect,
I know that.
Sometimes so full of my fears.
I serve a King,
Who can mend anything,
and One Day,
There’ll be no more tears.

Call me a fool for my Saviour.
Yet He is the Best part of me.
Once I was lost,
He paid the Cost.
No Greater Love,
Lives in me.

Handprints

Twenty little children sleeping.
Precious bundles in my keeping.
Just a year to sow some seeds.
Love a lot, and fill some needs.

Glimpsing Dreams, and Joy, and fears.
Giggles sprinkled into tears,
Leaving handprints on my heart.
Every day, some other part.

Eyes alight with Heavens Grace.
So needing just a warm embrace.
Approval, begging,
‘Can I play.
Am I safe, and will you stay?’

Little Angels, live your dreams.
It’s not as hard, as life can seem.
Hear the Music, learn the Dance.
Nothing ever comes by chance.

Twenty little children sleeping.
Precious bundles in my keeping.
Love a lot, and fill some needs.
and,
just a year to sow some seeds.

Frail Reason

I saw your faces on TV.
Heard the music, ‘Let it be’
Why does God allow such tragedy?
I have no human answer.

I saw the rubble, heard the cries.
Those left behind where loved ones died.
Devastation everywhere,
Where was God,
and does He care?
then I found frail reason.

For Charity the concert played,
For Miracles, the people prayed.
Rebuild a Nation Satan slayed
Faith births, where Hope has died.

I watched the man who stood for days.
Defying fear and standing brave,
Waiting for his wife God Saved,
Believing still, in Mercy.

Witnessed many bloodied hands,
Clear concrete slabs, to save one lamb.
With nothing more,
than Here I am,
and saw the hands of Jesus.

Tragedy is nothing new.
It rains down hard, no matter who.
Only God, can still the heart,
When lives and worlds are ripped apart.

So we yearn, and hold on tight.
Someday to Hope for all things right.
Do what we can, to soothe the pain,
Until He Comes to cleanse again.
Clinging to frail reason.

Scarlet Threads

Wash over me Dear Spirit,
Gently bathe my heart.
Bind me up, in scarlet threads
Lest I should fall apart.

My soul so very weary,
Such a long and troubled road.
‘Take my yoke‘, You said, ‘it’s easy.’
Why labor such a load.

We give it up, then take it back,
Faith tested, tried, and seasoned.
Every which way that we can,
Failing Wisdom, searching reason.

and then, when we are all poured out.
Crumbled on the floor,
We beg You Father,
‘Come to me,
I can’t do this any more.’

How fickle is the sinners heart.
How precious Holy Grace.
Scarlet threads, and nails and tears,
and Love all interlaced

Wash over me Dear Spirit.
Take my weariness, my sorrows.
Fill me full with Hope anew.
The Promise of Tomorrow.

Remind me of the scarlet threads,
From whence they came and Who.
That I may cast all care aside,
and find my Joy in You.

Matthew 11:28-30

‘Come unto me, all ye that are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.'

Smile

Smile,
though your heart is breaking.
Smile,
you are not forsaken.
God has a plan,
and you can,
Laugh out loud.

Sing,
like no other hears you.
Sing,
let the devil fear you.
Sing, and rejoice,
be a voice.
Praising God.

Dance,
to His music playing.
Dance,
get the whole world swaying.
Dance, even sad,
and be glad,
there’s a Tune.

Live,
like there’s no tomorrow.
Forgive,
every pain and sorrow.
Serve,
Every day,
Every way,
that you can.

Love,
Like your heart is bursting.
Drink,
For He knows your thirsting.
Pray,
and believe,
there is more
to receive.

Don’t,
Ever give up trying.
Waste,
all that time in crying.
Reach,for the sun,
and the moon,
and the stars.

God,
wrote a Book to guide you.
Jesus is right beside you.
Love,
has it’s arms,
open wide,
you can’t hide,
from The Lord.

so,

Smile,
You are not forsaken.
Just,
New hearts in the making.
God,
Has a plan,
and you can,
Make it Home.

Just Thank You

I really should be sleeping now,
but wanted so to say.
Thank You Lord for helping me,
In all ,and for today.

So many tasks to finish.
So many tasks to start.
Thank you Lord, for all of it,
and filling up my heart.

The Source of every Good thing.
The Rock I stand upon.
The Breath that breathes new life in me,
Carries me along.

Loving me, in spite of me,
Every time I fall.
Living with Your Precious Grace.
The Wonder of it all.

Somehow

Do you know how much you bless my heart?
Every sparkling pair of eyes.
Glowing ,growing, shining through.
Each day a new surprise.

God is good, and God is real.
God is here and now.
How He smiles,
To see you laugh.
Love,
is All,
Somehow.

Painting rainbows, singing songs,
‘Teacher, look at me.’
Little faces, all lit up.
So beautiful to see.

God is good, and God is real.
God is here and now.
How He smiles,
To see you laugh.
Love,
is All,
Somehow.

Do you know how much it fills me,
to watch you hug a friend.
Learn and build.
Happy, filled,
Children, on the mend.

God is good, and God is real,
God is here and now.
How He smiles,
To see you laugh.
Love,
is All,
Somehow.

Shoestrings

Here we go again Lord,
stay with me all the way.
Not enough of anything,
another Shoestring day,

Lord these are your scattered lambs.
The ones You came to Save.
So very lost,
bedraggled, tossed,
with many Storms to brave.

Help me be the sunshine,
in between the showers.
A stepping stone, a place to smile,
stop and smell the flowers.

Some lasting ground,
where Love is found.
A place to taste New Wine.
These people are Your children,
and fast becoming mine.

I can’t do this without You.
Shoestrings run to thread,
but with You, all the pieces fit,
and Hope holds firm instead.

Gird my heart,
Bless my hands,
my words, and step, I pray.
With Faith to watch the mountains move,
and Shoestrings, all the way.

One Day At A Time

One day at a time
is all that we have.
To live with regret,
or live and be glad,
For all that we learn,
and all that we do.
One day at a time,
ever closer to You.

One day at a time,
So make it the best.
With a smile in your heart,
laying down all the rest.
Light in the darkness.
Warmth in the cold.
Love for the children.
Peace for the old.

One day at a time,
to keep walking or grieve.
Hold on ever steadfast,
to all we believe.
Promises waiting.
Hope whispers still.
One day at a time.
Living Grace,
In His Will.
